Abstract:
Recent technological advancements in robotics have opened fascinating
horizons for applications of these systems. In this talk the concepts of
teleoperation and haptic systems and use of biological signals in them
will be explained and few of their applications will be introduced.
Additionally, recent research achievements of Advance Robotics Research
Laboratory of Queen's University at Kingston, Canada related to this area
will be presented.

Biography:
He received his B.Sc. in Computer Engineering from Sharif University of
Technology, Iran, in 1997. He has received his M.Sc. in Computer
Architecture from sharif University of Technology, Iran, in 1999. Having
worked in industry for a few years, in Sept. 2001, he joined the
Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of Queen's university,
Kingston, Canada, as Ph.D. student and received his Ph.D. in 2005.
